MDFL - Tatyoon will make the trip down the highway to Penshurst tomorrow, looking to build some form as the finals approach in the Mininera and District Football League.
There are four rounds to go until finals action hits the league and the Hawks sit second behind a rampant Hawkesdale Macarthur outfit.
The Hawks are beginning to get their best team back on the park with Andy Tucker and Shane Hitchcock making successful returns last week against Glenthompson Dunkeld.
They also expect to regain the services of onballer Matt Harris and Richard King this week, which will provide some flexibility to a strong looking midfield.
The Hawks have had the services of North Ballarat Rooster Sean McDougall the past few weeks, who has provided welcome support to the hard working Rich Tucker in the centre.
These players will be important for the Hawks this week, while Andy Maconachie burns up a wing and Glenn Walker provides rebound off half back.
That said, the Bombers are one of the sides that are always difficult to beat at home, and Tatyoon needs to find a match up for big full forward Chris Morey who kicked seven last week.
Despite no obvious match up regular full back Darren Beer will get plenty of help from his midfield as they win the battle and send the Hawks forward.
Expect the Bombers to challenge Tatyoon for a half before fading, while look out for senior coach Doug Walton who will have a run in the reserves, his first game back since breaking his arm earlier this season.
With tantalising match-ups against Moyston Willaura and Lismore Derinallum looming in the coming weeks, expect Tatyoon to use this game as a good warm up and easily account for the Bombers.
Wickliffe Lake Bolac host Glenthompson Dunkeld and going on recent form if the Magpies were ever going to cause an upset, it would be this week.
They have fought hard over the last few weeks and while not quite getting over the line with a win, they will be determined playing in front of their home crowd.
The Rams must win to keep their slight finals hopes alive however, and this will be enough incentive for them to get over the line.
SMW Rovers are also in need of a miracle and must beat Lismore Derinallum to hold onto any hope of finals' action.
This will take a huge effort, as the Demons sit two games clear in third spot and will be seething after a thrashing at the hands of Hawkesdale Macarthur last week.
Nic Byrne will need all 21 of his Bulldog team mates up and running if they are to get over the line but the Demons will be too strong.
Moyston Willaura will keep its top three aspirations alive with a win over Woorndoo Mortlake while Hawkesdale Macarthur should prove too strong for Caramut in the final game of the round.
